Once Upon a Time fans celebrated their own Valentine's Day with the series' unique take on Beauty and the Beast, with former LOST star Emilie de Ravin appearing as Belle, and ending on a cliffhanger that is sure to be revisited in the future. Until now, however, there has been no confirmation of de Ravin's return to the series so far. But fear not fans of the show: one of the series' writers has confirmed that we'll be seeing Belle more than once before the season is up...and one appearance in incredibly close.
De Ravin is set to briefly appear in this Sunday's all-new episode "Dreamy", though how she'll appear definitely is a mystery. But, writer Jane Espenson has teased to a reader over Twitter that she'll make an even bigger reprisal in the season's last episode. "She's in one more before [the season finale], briefly, but, yes, I wouldn't be shocked to see her in the finale," she replied.
This is far from a confirmation, but judging that it comes from a crucial source within the production, it seems nearly certain that we'll be seeing Belle in the season finale. Whether or not it's in the real world or the fairy tale one has yet to be seen, as we still have yet to see how Belle's "death" was covered up, but there's a good chance we could also see a real-world reconciliation between Mr. "Rumplestiltskin" Gold and the real-life counterpart.
It should be noted that the series is currently filming episode 20 of their 22 episode order, so an official casting confirmation for de Ravin could be coming sometime soon as filming dwindles down in the next month.
Once Upon a Time airs every Sunday at 8PM only on ABC.
