Liam Neeson has a very busy year ahead of him. He started off the year with The Grey, and then progresses to this Friday's Wrath of the Titans. With Battleship after that, along with Taken 2 much later in the year, it's a packed 12 months for the actor. While he's admitted to being on the set of The Dark Knight Rises, there hasn't been an official confirmation of Neeson as of yet. Now, Warner Brothers has finally admitted that he'll be returning in the upcoming film.
Warner Brothers (via Comingsoon) released official production notes for Wrath of the Titans, and when detailing Neeson, the studio "Neeson next appears in Peter Berg's actioner "Battleship," and he also will be seen in Christopher Nolan's much-anticipated action thriller "The Dark Knight Rises."
Neeson had previous said he only spent a short time on the set of the upcoming finale of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, so we shouldn't expect to see him in his role of Ra's Al Ghul too long in the film. But, it's expected we'll see him in flashback form, as Joey King has confirmed herself as a young Talia Al Ghul. Whether or not Marion Cotillard will be playing the grown up version of the character, exacting revenge due to her father's "death" in Batman Begins has yet to be determined. Rumors of The Lazarus Pit have also been tossed around to no confirmation as well.
Starring Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and many more, The Dark Knight Rises opens everywhere on July 20th.
