It saddens me to say that there are only a handful of episodes left of the sophomore season of Teen Wolf, but I am ridiculously excited that we're getting a 24 episode season 3, MTV is really showing their faith in the series and they really should be. The whole season has proven itself worthy of the pickup. Last week we devoured a lot of information about Jackson and his backstory along with what makes a shifter turn into a Kanima. Poor baby Jackson has clearly got some issues to resolve before he can be emancipated from whatever or whoever it is that's destroying him. Jackson shouldn't worry though because Scott and Co. are on the case.
"Raving" takes place predominantly at, you guessed it, a Rave (I said this show was good, I never said they were creative with titles). Zombie Jackson heads straight for his mark, and looks like a total creeper sauntering over to his master’s next mark. Jackson looks both sexy and disturbing at the same time, I don't know how this is possible but apparently it is, that's Colton Haynes's secret power. As me and the rest of the ladies & gay gentlemen watching this show fan themselves, Scott bumps into Matt and total asks him for 70 something dollars, flashing his puppy dog eyes. Matt doesn't fall for Scott's wounded puppy and sends him on his way. I was so confused by Scott here, is he really that obnoxious to ask to borrow money from someone he barely knows? I know the situation is dire but still.
Also, I am certain that most teenagers do not carry around that kind of money on them. I worked at 16 but I don't think I ever carried all of my money with me and I am sure Jimmy Olson here doesn't either. Stuff happens and Jackson doesn't succeed in killing his next target. Scott is relieved but this doesn't mean that they are in the clear, it's a good thing the gang has a new idea.
Derek, Scott and Isaac head over to the vets to figure out a way to trap Jackson and they do, but not without Isaac asking really stupid questions first, like "ARE YOU A WITCH?" although it's not that stupid because I was actually wondering the same thing. I've read some interesting theories that the vet is actually a retired hunter or another kind of hunter. I think that's a decent theory but fact is there are magical creatures in the world, and there are magical substances to stop them. Who created those magic creatures? There have to be some sort of witches out there and I wouldn't mind if the vet was one. Sidebar: I am still holding my Lydia is a witch theory close to my heart. Not giving up on that one even though it seems like it just might be thwarted. I digress; the gang is given some sort of special ash type of thing that Stiles is tasked with putting out.
Speaking of Stiles something terrible happens to him, well not so much him but his dad. It's really weird because I was tweeting that Stiles and the Sheriff were reminding me of another duo I love Keith and Veronica (note this is the second Veronica Mars reference I have made in 24 hours, the other is hidden in my Awkward. review.) See, Stiles and his papa were investigation the Kanima together but of course the Sheriff didn't know what exactly it was, just thought it was a serial killer.

I ended up biting my tongue because just like Keith, Sheriff Stilinski is let go because he pissed off a really powerful man in the midst of his investigation. I now fully expect this show to have a spin off where Mr. Stilinski and Stiles start a PI business and investigate mysteries together. It was a really sad moment because Stiles fully puts the blame on himself and expects his dad to do the same, but a rather deflated Papa Stiles tells him that he can't blame his son right now. It's sad and Dylan O'Brian makes the best sad face, its likes someone just kicked his puppy. And they did.
Alison's mom inspired Meme and gif makers all across the interwebs when she made her I AM GOING TO KILL YOU, scary face when she saw Alison and Scott make out in an empty classroom. She sets out to kill Scott of course, because she doesn't believe in the code either, because the Argents are all like, code? What code? Ever since pill poppin' Gerard came to town. It's really sad because she's torturing Scott whose only crime was loving her daughter. She begins calling him an Omega and says he has no pack and can't survive on his own and yada yada, stuff we've heard before.
Here comes my favorite scene in the whole episode because Scott doesn't go down with a fight and tells Mama "crazy bitch" Argent that he isn't alone, and howls for Derek who hears him loud and clear. He fights off Stiles who already put the dust around the building and kicks Mama Argent's ass! I love this part because I've said it in the past, Derek and Scott fight all the time but it's clear they care about each other like brothers. Scott can never be an Omega with Derek around because Derek will never let go of Scott. It's sweet.
Other Stuff That Happens:
- Teen Wolf turns into Teen Orgy when Erica, Isaac and Jackson start sucking face with each other, or almost sucking face with each other because they are trying to sedate Jackson.
- Erica hiding behind Stiles when a sedated Jackson was acting up. Really Erica WHAT is Stiles going to do that you can't?
- Mama argent gets bitten. I wonder how they'll run her through.
- The Chem teacher might be a red herring for the master. When he's talking through Jackson he says the people he's targeting killed him. I had a theory that it was Peter controlling Jackson through Lydia. Or maybe it's Matt and he's some supernatural creature himself. I guessed most of the stuff this season and I am spent, just going to relax and let the show do its trick.
- Gerard once again proves himself to be a creepy mofo.
- The Councilor and The are totally working together/know each other and she forebodes that there is something bigger happening than the gang can control.
BroMo Meter: A MILLION
- Scott telling Isaac he cares about him by telling him he doesn't want him to get hurt.
- Derek protecting Isaac at the vets.
- The Winner of them all Scott howling for Derek who immediately ran to him.
- Jackson and Isaac almost making out... I still think Isaac might be a love interest for Danny somehow.
Next week Lydia is having a party! Yay! Of course something terrible is going to happen isn't it? Great episode although it came off SLIGHTLY filler because there no major reveals, the show was moving a little fast so we did need an episode that could stall it up slightly. We do have 4 more episodes to until the season ends. Power imagery made this episode great, loved the ending with Chris cradling his bitten wife in his arms, even though it was all her fault anyway.
