First up, TV Guide released a teaser photo of Elena trapped behind bars due to her transitioning from human to vampire. After seeing her share of vampire moments, now Elena growing fangs herself will lead to the pivotal moment for every bloodsucker. The only thing is that our heroine is smart enough to not just sink her teeth into the first victim that walks along. "She doesn't want to eat people," Nina Dobrev warns. "So she's hungry — and moody."
Executive producer and showrunner Julie Plec, meanwhile, says that fans won't exactly be completely confident in Elena's ability to survive anything that comes her way just yet. "We're going to worry about her a bit," Plec states, saying that even Damon and Stefan can't help her out of this jam.
Meanwhile, another teaser photo also reveals Bonnie is back contacting spirits with ex-boyfriend Jeremy. But it seems there could be some emotion left to work with between the two. “In spite of having found a piece of closure in their relationship, they will continue to be drawn to each other emotionally," Plec teases. "Whether it’s romantic or not, I can’t really say."
However, it's what exactly Bonnie is doing in the picture that certainly leads to plenty of speculation. On one hand, the duo could be looking to contact Alaric in the ghost world for some advice of some sort. Or there's the pressing matter at hand that Klaus isn't actually dead as Bonnie stored the Original in the body of Tyler. Could they be reviving the bad boy back into his body? Well...let's just save that resurrection for perhaps a bigger stage than a simple candle-filled seance.

It seems all questions still have to remain unanswered for now as The Vampire Diaries doesn't return until Thursday October 11th at 8PM on The CW.
