This past week has been perhaps the biggest one in six years for both Arrested Development and its fans as the series has finally begun to film its fourth season for Netflix with set photos revealing plenty of what to expect from the first installment. With an airport location revealed thus far, we've seen our first looks of Michael, Tobias, and Lindsay while a number of stars from Comedy Central's Workaholics have been shown to be appearing as the first guests of the new episodes. But we don't quite know just what the story will entail of as we venture back into the Bluth family's lives years after their abrupt ending. Now, the set photos continue as we have our first look at Michael Cera's future as the latest pictures snapped reveal the next logical step for the Bluth boy: College!
While we last saw him on a boat to Cabo with his father and grandfather, it's unclear just how deep into his education George-Michael may find himself when the series starts back up again. But if there's anything to look forward to it may be the fact that he's looking for love with just the right bits of awkward charm as he rides a segway complete with his own helmet as he tries to take up a girl. The fact his new ride has a "state evidence" sticker? Priceless.
The father/son bond between he and Michael still seems to be in full effect here and perhaps we'll have to deal with the father coming to terms that the son who idolized him when he was younger is now unfortunately his own man. But at least we have the thought of George-Michael possibly getting into some campus hijinks to look forward to.
Arrested Development will be returning sometime in 2013 with a 10 episode fourth season that are all set to debut on the same day on Netflix Instant Streaming.
