With Cartoon Network's Adventure Time being a huge cult smash that is loved by all ages, there has been an impressive number of names to walk into the recording studio to guest star on the incredibly creative series. George Takei, Mark Hamill, Lou Ferrigno, Biz Markie, Paul Reubens, Andy Samberg, Neil Patrick Harris, Weird Al Yankovic, Keith David, Bobcat Goldthwait, Donald Faison and others have all been behind the mic in the tales of Finn and Jake so far out of the four season run the series has managed to deliver. Now, a Broadway actor and voice for one of the most popular Disney films ever created has decided to join the roster of impressive talent at the request of someone very important: his son.
TV Guide revealed that Ferris Bueller himself Matthew Broderick will guest star in the September 3rd episode of Adventure Time titled "Who Would Win". He'll be playing "The Dream Warrior, a used car salesman summoned by series protagonists Finn and Jake in a shared, extraordinary dream to offer advice on defeating a substantial rival."
Broderick says he was inspired by his son James' love for the series to pursue a guest role on the cartoon and really did this for him while also loving the show himself thanks to constant exposure in his household.
The actor is no stranger to voiceover roles, lending his pipes for the role of Simba for The Lion King and its subsequent direct-to-video sequels. He's also voiced characters for Cyberchase, Bee Movie, Good Boy, Yu-Gi-Oh and more.
