Well now it seems like the writers won't be waiting around for an answer on the series' fate to pull the trigger as today a photo straight from the set reveals we'll be heading back to the mall and slipping on our bedazzled denim jackets in the next few months.
Actress Colbie Smulders tweeted the following photo of her in character as Sparkles with the simple tease, "Guess Who's Back...":
No more details are yet readily available, but given the show's production schedule we may be seeing Robin Sparkles back on-screen with an all-new single in December. We know that recently Michael Trucco wrapped up his final episode of the show which is set to air later this month and with a Thanksgiving hiatus incoming, it's clear we may a chance to see Sparkles before Christmas.
This will be Smulders' fourth appearance as the character to date, which began back in Season 2 with the classic episode "Slap Bet". We followed the career of the musician with a follow-up single "Sandcastles in the Sand" and even a children's television show in "Glitter". The last time we had a glimpse of Sparkles was when Robin's past came back to haunt her at her new job inside national news network World Wide News.
While there has yet to be a confirmation on exactly which episode we can expect to see her in, it certainly seems like HIMYM is ready to grant us with an early holiday present.
