With AFM kicking off today, a number of new projects are set to get first impressions or be revealed in order to impress various investors and studios. So far, Millennium Films have not only confirmed we'll be seeing a third installment of The Expendables but also Jason Statham will go solo once more in The Mechanic 2. Now the reveals keep coming as we not only receive a first look at the sequel to The Woman in Black but also a rather romantic poster for Joss Whedon's upcoming indie adaptation Much Ado About Nothing.
Though Tom Harper has been hired for The Woman in Black: Angel of Death, no one has yet been cast nor is a release set. But the plot is as follows:
Seized by the government and converted into a military mental hospital during World War II, the sudden arrival of disturbed soldiers to Eel Marsh Harsh has awoken its darkest inhabitant. Eve, a beautiful young nurse, is sent to the house to care for the patients but soon realizes she must save them from more than their own demons. Despite Eve’s efforts to stop her, one by one they fall victim to the Woman in Black.
Meanwhile, Much Ado About Nothing, starring Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, Clark Gregg, Nathan Fillion, Fran Kranz, Reed Diamond, Sean Maher, Tom Lenk, Ashley Johnson and more, is a comedy and modern retelling of Shakespeare's classic tale. Shot completely in black and white, the story deals with two couples who contrast each other: one pairing who believe in love at first sight and are hopeless romantics, while the other are completely turned off to the idea of love but end up falling for each other in the process.
Lionsgate has picked up to distribute Much Ado, but a release date has not yet been set for 2013.
