THE NEWS BUNDLE: New Promo for ABC's 'Once Upon A Time In Wonderland' Offers First Footage of Naveen Andrews; Jessy Schram To Return As Cinderella

While the spin-off will get a late start for its debut season, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland certainly has some impressive talent. The roster was expanded last month at Comic-Con when it was unveiled that LOST actor Naveen Andrews would be returning in the regular role of Aladdin villain Jafar, set to hopefully raise some hell in the darker-looking expansion of the hit ABC series.

Now, a new promo has surfaced online featuring the first footage of Andrews' character while it's also been revealed that a familiar Storybrooke face will be popping up in the first hour of the brand new story.

In addition to the promo, co-creator Adam Horowitz and actress Jessy Schram has have quietly revealed through Twitter (via TV Rage) that Schram will be appearing as Cinderella in the first episode of Once Upon A Time in Wonderland.

This will be the first appearance by Schram since the first season of parent series Once Upon A Time, later failing to return due to her schedules on Last Resort and Falling Skies. It's expected that Cinderella will appear in flashback form, especially given the fact that she is currently set for only one episode, though the absence of the character beyond cursed Storybrooke certainly leaves her fate up in the air.

In Victorian England, the young and beautiful Alice (Sophie Lowe) tells a tale of a strange new land that exists on the other side of a rabbit hole. An invisible cat, a hookah smoking caterpillar and playing-cards that talk are just some of the fantastic things she's seen during this impossible adventure. Surely this troubled girl must be insane, and her doctors aim to cure her with a treatment that will make her forget everything.

Alice seems ready to put it all behind her, especially the painful memory of the genie she fell in love with and lost forever -- the handsome and mysterious Cyrus (Peter Gadiot). But deep down Alice knows this world is real, and just in the nick of time the sardonic Knave of Hearts (Michael Socha) and the irrepressible White Rabbit (John Lithgow) arrive to save her from a doomed fate. Together the trio will take a tumble down the rabbit hole to this Wonderland where nothing is impossible.

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland premieres Thursday, October 10th at 8PM this Fall on ABC.
