THE NEWS BUNDLE: MTV Looking To Adapt 'Scream' For The Small Screen in TV Series Adaptation


For under two decades know, Wes Craven's Scream franchise has poked fun at the horror genre while slashing up its own set of rules and body count. While there's still no word on a Scream 5, the pop culture phenomenon didn't exactly have the same kick the last time around, making a fifth installment questionable if anything. While we have no clue just when we'll see the series again, it seems MTV wants to make a mark as they are now in early development on a possible Scream TV series.

With Prometheus just days away from hitting theaters, writer Damon Lindelof has been in the spotlight along with director Ridley Scott. Best known as one of the minds behind the pop culture phenomenon known as LOST, Lindelof hasn't really returned to television after his six year stint on the island ended inside the church. Now, after a little less than two years of venturing out into the film world, Lindelof has decided he's coming back home to stay as he trades in the cinema for the smaller screen once more.

FTTV Reviews...Rookie Blue 3.02 "Class Dismissed"


Rookie Blue fans continued to show their support last night, with nearly 6 million tuning in. Not bad for a summer show...but this summer show is more than just that. It's worthy of a fall slot at best. So come on people: show your support and tell everyone you know to tune it because Rookie Blue is a damn good show! But, as the series continues its third season, did the cop comedic-drama prove that sentiment right, or was it just lacking a bit of luster after the season premiere?

Earlier this year when Lionsgate acquired Summit, when one of the first plans that the studio president had originally said he would be looking into would be to expand the life of Twilight. While a film continuation obviously seems probable on a slim chance, another example happened to be a television series. Well apparently Lionsgate has TV on the brain as the studio is now looking into bringing some film franchises to television as original series.

THE NEWS BUNDLE: 'Game of Thrones' Showrunners Reveal List of New Characters for Season 3


With only one episode left in it's superb second season, many viewers are anxiously wondering whats in store for for the third season fo HBO's Emmy Award Nominated series Game of Thrones. From what we already know, it will be based on the third book of the A Song of Ice and Fire series titled A Storm of Swords, according to last year's Comic Con panel and will probably be broken up into two seasons. Swords is the longest book in the series so far, one with a lot of meat to the story, and a lot of different characters. Many new cuts would be made to certain characters but thanks to Entertainment Weekly we have some news today on who exactly their looking to cast for the forthcoming season.

Last week on Veep we finally learned Selina's media nicknames and got a great glimpse on how crazy she actually is, we also learned some more about Dan and just how crazy HE actually is. This week we're still with Selina but this time our character spotlight is on Gary who has a crappy relationship with his father because he wishes he was more of a jock than working for the Vice President of the United States.. yeah that's having your priorities straight dad...

Glee has been laying it on thick with nostalgia in the back half of their third season. The finale didn't let up. If it didn't make you at least choke up, then you must have a cold, empty space for a heart. And I say that with a whole lot of love (Insert tight smile here).

It feels so good to finally say...welcome back Rookie Blue! Blue's back with a bang; or in Andy's case, bangs! Since we've last seen the gang, so much seems to have happened during Andy's three month suspension and the biggest change is not only Andy's hair, but also the fact that she took off without Sam because it was a requirement of her suspension to not contact him.
